Supply Chain

Supply Chain in Al Seer isn’t just about delivering products. Our team manages availability from the moment a business idea sees the light of day, until the product reaches our customers’ shelves.

The Supply Chain Team independently handles the Demand Planning and Stock Replenishment process of the company using a fully integrated SAP system. With an MRP (Material Requirements Planning) system designed to assist in inventory and supply management our supply chain team ensures excellent availability on time, without incurring excess costs. The system assists in generating and (as needed) revising demand plans to meet expected targets and replenishment plans to assure timely availability of stocks. All of this is done taking into the consideration the constraints and supply issues that may be faced by our business partners.

Working closely with other internal business units such as Sales, Customer Marketing, Finance, Logistics and an in-house C&F department, the supply chain team offers the best solutions and ensures availability of right volumes at the right time. We believe that the prerequisite of any great supply chain performance is the need to understand that every company must invest its operations with a well-informed memory of yesterday’s challenges as well as a keen eye on tomorrow’s improvements. The success and strength of our Supply Chain Team has been its ability to attune to the ever changing and challenging FMCG business scenario in the Middle East.

With a clear vision and understanding that ‘an efficient supply chain is crucial to the success of any business’, Al Seer Management ensures that everyone within the organization understands the value and commercial benefit that can be delivered by a well-managed supply chain. We work with our partners in business to constantly improve the way in which business is conducted, with focus on value improvement through better quality, cost and service. The team is guided by a set of principles from which we make our policy statements. We focus on customer needs, supplier capabilities and their needs, our systems and infrastructure and the people we employ across our supply chain. We measure our commitments to:

  • Developing motivated and skilled resources;
  • Producing simple transparent processes and easy to use systems;
  • Providing a sustainable and managed supply base from which we can derive maximum value;
  • Supporting the company’s policies:
  • Aiming to ensure that commitments to our customers are value based and sustainable, from a demonstrably competitive supply base

Currently sourcing 4000+ sku’s including food, non food and perishable stocks from 56 different locations across the globe, the Supply Chain Team has evolved over a period of time to become one of the strongest stakes of Al Seer Group.
